Like many people, I often have problems staying organized.  The terrors of disorganization, aka chaos, revealed themselves to me when I was completing my first MA thesis.  Ugh.  I can still feel the pain.  Fortunately, there is some wisdom out there to help you avoid these kinds of problems.  One very handy source of advice is the Academic Productivity blog.  In case you are looking at your thesis, dissertation, or a similarly large and looming project, there is some great advice here on managing “hard” and “soft” deadlines that can help you complete your Ph.D. or MA in a timely manner.
