Blog of the Week: January 11, 2008
Inside Higher Ed presents a review of Marc Bousquet’s book How the University Works: Higher Education and the Low-Wage Nation (NYU Press). For those of us relatively new to adjuncting, the review—and presumably the book—provides some interesting history of adjuncting in the modern university. Additionally, the comments and the discussion that follow are worth reading closely. While many of the same adjunct-related issues are rehashed, it’s valuable to read new takes on old themes.
