Newly Minted MA or Ph.D.? Looking for Tenure? Stop Looking and Read This!
Yes, Comrades! YES!
I nearly leaped out of my seat when I saw this job posting come across the WPA-List the other day. Why? Because it specifically invited people like me to apply. Normally, gigs do not target fresh degrees. So, take advantage of this chance while it’s here.
I’ll probably apply—after all, who would deny the beauty of the Pacific Northwest?—and I hope you do as well. The more the merrier! And, as you will see, they have TWO positions. Yup. Best start polishing that vita right now. . . .
If you are a WPA or Administrator and you are intentionally seeking fresh Ph.D.’s or MA’s for your program, send your job listing here and I’ll be happy to repost it. After all, there are so few which target us as an audience, it’s nice to spread the good word.
Now, on to the email! (It is reproduced with permission of the author.):
We’re have two full-time English composition faculty positions open. We teach, generally, a 3-2-2 load, cap of 25 (relatively humane). I’d love to find somebody engaged in the field who is interested in program administration, especially as it’s being defined at the two-year college. We have funds for professional development, a WPA position, and a WAC position. Bellingham’s a great place to live; we have a beautiful campus. Send newly minted PhD’s our way as well as outstanding MA students. (Bold added by Adjunct Advice blog.) Thanks!
